9^th day of Manga Advent Calendar 2015

Hello everyone, here is the ninth day of Manga Advent Calendar 2015.Now as I said as yesterday’s hint that today’s manga is an old school manga that has been given a facelift. Today’s manga is Ranma ½.

I bought this manga when I was going on a long hall trip which I was going to be on a bus for twelve hours. So this was my first large manga volume and I was debating what one to get. Eventually nostalgia won out and I bought this, it kept me occupied the whole journey. It also has re-read ability, all of the stories you can read over and over. I love the story and I need to buy more of the volumes.

 

The story of Ranma ½ is simple after a training trip in china, Ranma comes back with a condition. He can change between a girl and a boy when he is covered in hot or cold water. His grandfather is the same but with he turns into a panda with water. The two of them move into the Tendo household, in which one of the girls is Ranma’s fiancé. This is putting the story simply, there are more characters introduced as the story goes on so in order to keep it simple that’s the plot I’m keeping.

So first things first the story is expanding as the story goes on, which means that there can be a large amount of expansion within the storyline. It’s also has a lot of funny moments that can cheer me up when I’m bored. The characters are also really likeable and have their moments to shine my favourite character is Akane Tendo because she has the fighting power but also can be funny at times as well.

 

The reason why I chose this is manga  is, because I hope to do a lot of traveling this year and I need books that can deal with long journeys. I want to go to some conventions and holidays (not to japan but I hope to go one day) and I want to see the world and how that can inspire my mind. I want to do more things on this blog (like giveaways, vlogs etc.) and I hope you can support all of the new things I would love to do with this blog.       

I shall see you guys tomorrow for the 10^th day of the Manga Advent Calendar, here is this hint for today. The manga I will be looking into tomorrow is an modern classic and it has spawned new movies.
