4th day of the manga Advent Calendar of 2016

Hello, Welcome to the 4th day of the manga Advent Calendar of 2016 and today we will be looking into one of the best modern manga in my time of reading “20th century boys” and how the plot is so interesting that this needed to be made into an anime because of how good it is.

The basic premise is humanity is screwed due to the effects of group known as “Friend” who begins to put the wheels in motion to go alongside a book called “Book of Prophecy”. It follows our main cast of characters as they discover the twists and turns along the way to help save the world. I am evading spoilers as a on spoiler on events that are to happen can wreck the story as a whole like in more tense moments. This is not for the easy-going reader this covers a lot of things like mass killings and cults so if you no like don’t read because it only gets more twisted from here, If you have read stuff like Monster, Gantz, Vagabond then it’s a must read. Its interesting themes that are put into this manga and how they ring clear with what is happening in our world today what with war, violence and other such issues are presented in a format that is realistic bust still interesting in the way manga is known for. Its super gritty and I respect if for not toning it down and if there was an anime made there would need to be fateful to the manga as this would anger a lot of people who love this work. With another manga in the same timeline called “21st century boys” its doesn’t slow the action at all and helps lead on with more stories to go along with all the plot twists, its complex but it’s amazing because its complex.

My personal fact for day four is that  at the moment I need to take breeks with all the gritty stuff in read and watch as its all super realistic and can cause me to over thing things sometimes , to for tomorrow it will be a light slice of life that for the most part will be wholesome in some way, or maybe not fully?

I will see you all tomorrow guys
Regards Fiona
